US Inflation, are we peaking? Maybe around 8%?

The consumer price index climbed 7% in 2021, the largest 12-month gain since June 1982. The widely followed inflation gauge rose 0.5% from November, exceeding forecasts. However, it looks like US inflation might push higher to peak around 8% or a bit more over next couple of months. Question here, are we peaking, data in this chart suggests so. Forecasting 4% around Q3 22.
