XAUUSD Confidence in price increases remains

• XAUUSD prices bucked its recent upward trajectory to a new all-time high reached on Monday. Bets on a Fed rate cut in June continue to strengthen the USD and act as a headwind. The downside remains muted amid persistent risk aversion and geopolitical risks.
  

As expected, Gold prices corrected after hitting the Bull Flag target of $2,251 and a new record high of $2,266 on Monday.

So far this Tuesday, Gold prices are trading cautiously as the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) has turned lower while remaining in extreme buy territory, trading near 78.00. This shows that Gold prices may regress further.

Immediate support is now seen at the previous record high of $2,236 set on Thursday. Violation of the following regulation could cause the price to plummet to the threshold of 2,200 USD.

Further south, Thursday's low of $2,187 will be challenged, followed by the rising 21-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) at $2,168.

If Gold buyers regain their bullish momentum, a retest of the all-time high at $2,266 is imminent, followed by the round figure of $2,270.

The next level that Gold buyers are interested in will be the psychological level of 2,300 USD.
