EUR/USD has surged higher for two consecutive trading days. If the strong resistance position above 1.10 can be broken, the first target above is the February high of 1.1034, and further upward, it is aimed at the 1.12-1.13 area.The bottom is currently gaining strong support in the 1.0840-1.0800 area.If GBP/USD can break through the previous high of 1.2525, the target area above is 1.26-1.28.The support below currently seems to be relatively solid near 1.2350.

On Wednesday (April 12), the euro reached 1.10005 against the US dollar, the highest since February 2, and closed at 1.09930, up 0.73% on the day.On Wednesday, the United States released inflation data. The data showed that the consumer price index (CPI) climbed by 0.1% last month, which was lower than the 0.2% expected by economists and lower than the 0.4% increase in February.In the 12 months to March, CPI increased by 5.0%, the smallest year-on-year increase since May 2021.The CPI in February increased by 6.0% year-on-year.The decline in the overall inflation rate exceeded expectations, which supported the view that the Fed basically added one more time and it was over.The market will next analyze Friday's retail sales data to understand how consumer spending is affected by rising prices.If the data continues to be weak, it will bear greater downward pressure on the dollar.EURUSD has surged higher for two consecutive trading days.
