On Thursday, the US dollar index saw a slight decline but maintained its position close to a six-month high at 105.74 before ultimately losing its gains and closing down 0.06% at 105.38. In terms of US Treasury yields, the 2-year US Treasury bond yield initially rose from an opening of 5.2% but later dropped to close at 5.144% due to unexpected developments. Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury bond yield surged, briefly reaching 4.5% before closing at 4.494%.

Gold prices faced pressure from the rise in US bond yields, with spot gold initially dropping below $1,920 and hitting an intraday low of $1,913.97. It did manage to recover slightly, closing down by 0.53% at $1,920.08 per ounce, marking its third consecutive day of negative performance. In contrast, silver prices exhibited a V-shaped pattern, dropping to an intraday low of $22.81 before rebounding to close up by 0.7% at $23.4 per ounce.

Crude oil prices experienced fluctuations, with WTI crude oil briefly dipping to an intraday low of $88.34 during the European trading session but ultimately closing with a 0.38% increase at $89.53 per barrel. Brent crude oil also closed with a marginal 0.04% increase at $93.19 per barrel.

The three major US stock indices all faced downward pressure, opening and closing at lower levels. The Dow index closed down by 1.08%, the Nasdaq closed down by 1.82%, and the S&P 500 closed down by 1.64%, marking its most significant one-day decline in the past six months. Key tech stocks like Amazon, Nvidia, and Tesla experienced notable drops, with Amazon declining by more than 4% and Nvidia and Tesla both dropping more than 2%.

In contrast, European stocks generally performed well, with Germany's DAX30 index closing down by 1.33%, the UK's FTSE 100 index closing down by 0.69%, and Europe's Stoxx 50 index closing down by 1.48%.
