$SPX: Long term trend triggered in $SPY

Long
EIGHTCAP:SPX500   S&P 500 Index
We now have a confirmed long term signal in SPY , which often coincides with a general 'risk on' trend for the duration of the forecasted trend, or until the target zone has been met.

You can see in the chart that periods where the signal confirms and the follow up quarters, have the best returns, and things slow down after the target is eventually reached, which normally precedes consolidations or corrections, until the next long term trend signal forms and confirms again.

Historically, the stock market index has traced an upwards trend over time, which is a well documented fact, but periods of consolidation can become taxing as investors face losses hoping on a steady trend after break outs, or fearing losing huge sums on breakouts to the downside, which eventually cause many to miss out and sell at the worst possible time.

This ebb and flow is normal and is how trends form, but we should try to maximize our exposure when the signal favors it, which is roughly between now and Q3 2025, or after the target zone is eventually hit. This likely applies to other assets that behave in a similar manner, like cryptocurrencies or real estate investments, as the economy lifts all boats when things get better for businesses and people have both more resources and risk appetite to fund big trends in them.

Best of luck!

Cheers,

Ivan Labrie.
