SHIB is a really interesting play here...
It is literally another middle finger to Wall Street if this takes off, much like DOGE did.
I have been in Crypto since 2016 probably as long as some of you reading this, and I can assure you this DOGE Effect (including SHIB) still has me scratching my head.
That said, even though SHIB is also a joke meme, it is also a serious joke stemming from its Market Cap and supposed community-based environment that it is building. When you rise above $5B...it becomes EXTREMELY hard to pump (and dump) due to the number of buyers on the sidelines waiting for an entry. Institutions definitely are not buying, so this leaves Retail investors and Mania to take ahold and with Crypto....we are talking about a sector that has Global attention. Crypto is now turning into a pop culture icon as a whole and we have the image of a Shibu Inu to thank for that.
All of this would not be possible without the virality of Social Media. Its influence has engrained a new idea: that people will find value in whatever they believe in. Crypto can and should be fun.
Young Millennials are leveraging SHIB as their currency of choice across multiple Social Media Platforms and Exchanges. They hold the biggest bags and they are leading the way in the digital financial age. Young folks, regardless of location, do not want a president or dictator on their dollar bill, they want a fun, playful image to associate their spending with.
Keep in mind, that when Bitcoin came out, Litecoin, Ethereum, EOS etc all came out afterwards to try and overthrow Bitcoin. They are here to stay and from what I can tell, some of these Meme Coins are also here to stay. The word Meme will soon be synonymous with Crypto and not goofy images with cheesy one-liners. Concepts (memes) evolve, and so do words (meme).
What is more fun to transact with? DOGE/SHIB or a Country's native stablecoin if prices are somewhat stable in DOGE/SHIB? Regardless of the number of decimals. Let the wallet do the math. You focus on the prize: your purchase (whatever it may be).
