Until November last year, the platform was called LocalEthereum and supported trading with the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization.

Along with the announcement of adding support for other cryptoassets, the marketplace underwent a rebranding. The first cryptocurrency to be added was Bitcoin.

LocalCryptos then stated that they intend to compete with LocalBitcoin, the leading P2P platform at the time, and have their own advantages for this. Among them is the non-custodial bitcoin deposit system.

In a statement, LocalCryptos noted that LTC and BTC are very similar and that this script will apply to Litecoin as well. Until June 18, the marketplace will not charge commissions for transactions in LTC
