I don't see one plausible reason that convinces me the stock market has seen a bottom. In fact, I think we are very far from seeing a bottom, and I think that November should make that very obvious. You look at indices and names within them, and they simply look terrible. Everything looks like a bounce in a downtrend, and that is all I believe we are experiencing right now... Things do not go down in straight lines, and bear markets can last very long periods. XLF, XLI, IWM, SPY, QQQ, SMH- these all look terrible, and certain names within them look even worse. It's a matter of being patient and finding solid entries both to time bear market bounces and knowing when to short the rallies. I think the rally we are seeing still has some legs, but there are zero reasons, in my eyes, to think the stock market has put in a bottom or is even that close to doing it.

On a different note, I'm very happy to say that I've finally gotten all the framework together to launch an incubator hedge fund, which should be launched and in full force by Thursday. I fully expect this to be the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I'm going to continue working my a** off to make it that; I expect it to become a full-fledged hedge fund before I expect the market to put in a true bottom(~6 months). I cannot imagine myself doing anything other than trading/portfolio management, and I refuse to settle for anything less. As I embark on this path, it would make the world to me if any of you could reach out and provide whatever guidance you can offer.

Cheers.
