RBC Capital Markets said in a Monday note that lumber prices continue to rally on strong demand and supply disruptions.
RBC said that according to Random Lengths, the Framing Lumber Composite increased +US$29 week over week to US$545. The lack of truck drivers in the south is causing shipment delays and depleted inventories in the distribution channel.
In OSB markets, the OSB Composite increased +US$8 week over week to US$591 as demand outstripped supply by a thin margin.
For next week, RBC Elements forecasts that the RL Framing Lumber Composite will increase +US$26 week over week to US$571 and that the RL OSB Composite will increase +US$1 week over week to US$592.
