According to the report released by ResearchAndMarkets, in Britain, as of March 2022, only a small number of respondents claimed to own cryptocurrency, which also showed that there was a huge gender gap in the ownership of cryptocurrency. Among those who own cryptocurrency, most people prefer to own bitcoin, followed by bitcoin cash. Compared with the proportion of curious respondents who plan to invest in cryptocurrency in 2021, the proportion of cryptocurrency owners in Germany is only a few percentage points higher.
In addition, nearly half of the respondents who have invested or traded cryptocurrencies intend to increase their investment in the next six months. In terms of respondents interested in cryptocurrency, the gender gap in Germany is very small. Compared with men, more than half of female respondents are interested in cryptocurrency. Although a small number of French respondents have invested in NFT or cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is still a popular currency for those who have invested and intend to invest in the future.
In addition, compared with 2021, the proportion of French adults who understand cryptocurrencies increased significantly in 2022. As of April 2022, Bitcoin has become the preferred cryptocurrency in Switzerland, and more than half of cryptocurrency investors are interested in buying and holding cryptocurrencies.
