I believe the above flag of victory will be one of many for Bitcoin's future. Why?
1 - In BTC's life, governmental, institutional and the general public's perception of BTC, has gone from the untrusted and unknown to the trusted and known. Do not under estimate this trust - See next point.
2 - BTC has already made it as the only globally trusted and used digital currency, it is: "The King." BTC is being used for the following reasons all of which are growing rapidly within their own field:
a) On line commerce,
b) As a store of wealth,
c) As an investment vehicle,
d) Is being legislated for,
e) Physical outreach is limitless.
3 - No competition. Considering points 1 & 2 above and the fact they are all growing exponentially, no new coin can replace BTC. Would you trust a new coin? And even if there is a new coin, it will only be a fork of BTC so either way BTC has already made it, even astronauts have heard of BTC! ;-)
4 - Is finite in volume, is immutable and can not be created, hidden or destroyed and everyone can if they wish see exactly where every single Satoshi is at any one time. So
