Get used to the idea of volatility, don't trade Bitcoin to make USD, buy Bitcoin to have Bitcoin.
Then if you want to actually use it, research Bitcoin Debit cards, they issue a physical Visa debit card and spend your digital currency like dollars with ease. Just like a regular bank card.
Now this is a centralized type of application, I recommend doing this will a small amount and keep you main holdings in cold storage, safely owned keys that are yours and are safe from hackers and intermediaries.
