Is it now a chance to trade the Apple?

Long
NASDAQ:AAPL   Apple Inc
Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services.

Fundamental Data:Gross Margin of the company hits 38.50 percent, Profit Margin is 20.90 percent, Operating Margin is 26.80 percent, and it increased the expectations. P/E is 17.54.
Apple’s beta shows 1.27 and indicates that the security's price is more volatile than the market.

Newsflow:In 2017 Apple has already launched the 10th anniversary iPhone X and new iPhone 8, new iPads, new Macs and announced a new product called the HomePod. The release of new products at the Apple event were initially hailed as positive news, but the stock has trailed off.
In the beginning of the month the course of Apple reached around $164. However, after the presentation the stock dropped till $154. Thus, the stock decreased approx. 6%.

“Raymond James analyst Christopher Caso says Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) hasn’t started final production on the iPhone X due to a delay, which could push back device supplies to December.”

The fact is that the final production of the IPhone X has not yet begun, but is expected to begin in mid-October. This is about a month later, compared with expectations. Production problems could be related with the OLED display, which is supplied by Samsung Display.

Apple Inc. reports $52.9 billion in total revenue 2nd quarter and $45.4 billion for the 3rd quarter.
However, Apple continues to invest increasingly more money on research and development. In total, Apple spent $10.04 billion on R&D in 2016 and its highest annual spend ever.

According to quarterly income statement in 3rd quarter $2.9 billion was spent on research and development.

Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook was asked about the increase in R&D spending. He said:

“The products that are in R&D, there is quite a bit of investment in there for products and services that are not currently shipping or derivations of what is currently shipping. So I don’t want to talk about the exact split of it, but you can look at the growth rate and conclude that there’s a lot of stuff that we’re doing beyond the current products.”

After analyzing the recent data, some analysts say the stock’s weakness just makes it more attractive. Based on 31 analysts offering 12 month price targets for AAPL in the last 3 months:

The average price target of $174.31
The maximum price target of $208.00
The lowest price target of $140.00

Chart Tools: What tells the technical analysis methods?

The risk management tool used here is the own-developed “Traffic Signals System” (TSS).

The black line in the chart: the starting price of the idea is 154 US-Dollar.
The red line in the chart: the stop loss is lying at 147 US-Dollar.
The green line in the chart: here for me the first turning point in the idea appears = first goal at about 165 US-Dollar.
Oscillator: The RSI of Apple Inc. values of 33.01 and indicates an oversold situation, and perhaps will correct upwards.

Preis indicator: SMA 200 in this particular case shows still a long-term upward trend.

Trend indicator: The MACD line is below its signal line and remains negative but the downtrend could be broken.

Conclusion: Even if there was a drop in Apple’s stock price, there could be further potential of growth due to the upcoming new products. In my opinion, the patience could pay back. Currently, the stock seems to be comparably cheap and the actual situation could be an opportunity of a position trade idea.
