U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has registered a subsidiary of Payward Europe Solutions with the Central Bank of Ireland as a virtual asset service provider (VASP). Kraken, through its subsidiary, has become the third U.S.-based crypto platform approved to operate in the EU country. Exchanges Gemini and Coinbase will be authorized as VASPs in July 2022 and December 2022, respectively.
