It operates through the following segments: Polaris Media Midt-Norge, Polaris Media Nordvestlandet, Polaris Media Nord-Norge, Polaris Trykk, and Other. The Polaris Media Midt-Norge segment consists of the regional media house Adresseavisa and the local media houses Fosna-Folket, Sør-Trøndelag, Trønderbladet, Bladet, Opdalingen, Mediehuset Innherred, and Brønnøysunds Avis. The Polaris Media Nordvestlandet segment consists of the media businesses Sunnmørsposten and Romsdals Budstikke, as well as local media houses Vikebladet Vestposten, Sunnmøringen, Driva, Åndalsnes Avis, Fjordingen, Fjordenes Tidende, Møre-Nytt, Vestlandsnytt, Fjuken, Vigga, Dølen, and Fjordtrykk/Fjordabladet. The Polaris Media Nord-Norge segment includes media houses Harstad Tidende, iTromsø, Folkebladet, Framtid i Nord, Andøyposten, Altaposten, Vesteraalens Avis, HTG Multimedia, and Vesterålen Online. The Polaris Trykk segment consists of Polaris Trykk Trondheim, Polaris Trykk Ålesund, Polaris Trykk Harstad, Polaris Tyrkk Alta, and Polaris Distribusjon Nord. The Other segment refers to the central administration and Polaris Eiendom. The company was founded on October 20, 2008 and is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway.
