For the past 2 years, the holiday season (not exactly Christmas day, but near to it) has offered rock-bottom prices for alts.
This chart shows 5 of the major alts (ones with enough volume and history to chart this far back) against BTC. If history repeats itself, and they come down to meet my green arrow, it should offer an OTE on a wide array of altcoins....

The first bounce had solid volume, it will test now the low again and should rebound after. There is a good chance for trend reversal here as people sit on high profits in btc which will be diversified in the other top cryptos.

As LTC, BTC, and DASH put in huge moves over the last few weeks, Ethereum sat on its hands and refused to make a run for the sky.

Altcoins usually move in cycles. They have a massive pump and then an extensive, usually longer, dump. (I am not an ethereum fan, but I find this sort of patterns pretty interesting.)
