To pursue outperformance, the fund emphasises small-cap companies with strong profits and low valuations in the emerging market space. Conversely, AVEM underweights large-cap companies with lower profitability and higher prices to book values. The fund invests across market sectors, industry groups, currencies and emerging market countries.
