V Bottom Ascedning Triangle

Long
NASDAQ:TRMB   Trimble Inc.
Earnings beat on 8-5. EMPTY GAP below price that looks like it will fill soon so watching until a candle tail or something fills gap. Monthly candle suggests a pullback is coming.

Top trendline of ascending triangle can serve as support after a clear break up and out of the trendline. Before that, it is resistance.
The A triangle and V bottom have close to the same breakout and have just about followed each other since the bottom . This stock has a history of deep pull backs and hit it's all time high 4 trading days ago.
For a V Bottom you take the V Low and subtract it from the V High. I use a little bit over that V high as a break out to be sure it pushes through prior high resistance. Ultimate target is that amount added to the break out price. I allow for stops along the way because most stocks do not shoot up 20, 30, 40 or 50. whatever bux in a few days. Although, some do! You can use fibonacci levels or 25%, 50% 75%, then 100%. For some stocks you may even go to 150%. It depends on the steength of the stock, the sector rotation, etc. IE last week, it would be difficult to set a 150% target for a bank stock. May have settled even for 50%. Looking at short percent/ratio helps me. I do not go short, but I respect their opinion.
Companys looks to be well diversified.
