Oversold/Descending Triangle

lauralea Updated
NYSE:PNC   PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (The)
Price is beneath a triangle so it has broken support.
Price is below bands set on an 80 DMA versus 20. This can indicate oversold conditions.
Deeply oversold on RSI.

Earnings are 4-14 and it appears analysts are not positive about the outcome for now.

Comment:
Being below the bands in a bear market is considered very bearish and the security is usually very oversold. In a Bull market it can cause a snap back fairly quickly. I do take heed as when price is below the bands it is usually severely oversold as demonstrated by RSI. In a bear market price can continue down for long periods some time beneath the bottom band. Price will eventually return to the interior of the bands but can take much longer in a Bear market versus a Bull market.
These band are set on an 80 DMA versus a 20 DMA. The 20 DMA is the standard setting for Bollinger Bands. I use 80 to accommodate the market volatility.
