We had no real breakdown in USD below 94.00, if you look at the weekly chart. This remains the line in the sand and the catalyst for that would probably be some kind of FED news. Other than that we have to look at the big picture - we can see a prior strong uptrend and now a consolidation phase in time and price. I am cautiously bullish.
FCX came off its low in February, it is now digesting gains and could retrace further. I am watching price behaviour around this critical zone 7.83USD - 8.00USD.
BRK.B has followed the market higher since Feb 11th, I am setting alerts early. We will see if the market correction since the beginning of 2016 was only a dip to be bought, or an early warning sign of a bearish trend unfolding in the months to come. Similar health checks can be done with SPY:IWM, COPX, FDX, TLT, HYG, FXY, UVXY.......
Waiting for price reaction to further Japan stimulus measures, otherwise continued bearish outlook. Only above 17000 bullish continuation possible.
Depending on the general market, further recovery in AXP off support at 52.00 USD could take it back to 65.00 and 67.43. Should we see declines in Indices I expect a sideways price behaviour in AXP, but as long as 52.00 USD holds I will be cautiously bullish.
DXY in topping range, key level 96.80 broken to the downside. Watching price now at 94.00 area.
Far-reaching implications for commodity FX, GOLD, Oil and EURUSD. Watching how price behaves at critical 94.00 area.
On my watchlist, due to the recent strong correlation of stocks and oil. Additionally watch XLE and major oil stocks.
I would prefer LONG positions, as ROST is still in this upper Pitchfork parallel zone.....however, the most recent advance did not close above the spike move on August 17th. This why I wait and remain neutral.
Depending on general market conditions, AXP could drop further
General Electric managed to climb back up from the lows of 2009. We will now see if this support holds - or if there will be a retest at lower levels. If we don`t see a further decline in the general market I favor a continued move higher. At the moment I don`t hold a position in GE.
A simple AB-CD structure would imply lower prices to come...
