Like the breakout here. Not surprising really -- Hacking has (ahem) been in the news a little lately. The fees on this ETF are a little high, but it's targeted exposure to a certain sector that should do well in the coming months/years. Consider this a long-term holding. Not a home-run trade, just a nice & steady holding.
Certainly getting to the point where it might make more sense to own large cap vs. small... (IWM vs. SPY shown here). If nothing else, might want to re-allocate one's 401k!
Taking a step back and looking long term, this pattern looks pretty bullish to me? What am i missing?
When you buy Russian and the ruble you are taking on the equity risk and the Ruble risk. Is there a chance better relations between US/Russia lead to lower sanctions/better growth in Russia? Yes, but what about the corruption rife in their system...does a US investor actually get any dividends/profits or does that just go straight to the oligarchs? How tight a...
FNMA and FNMAS each had great weeks. Not surprising they close off the highs as long suffering investors take some profits. Still a long way from dividends being restored on preferred and capital build on common (but maybe not, you never know). At these levels preferred might make more sense than common. Either way undeniably positive news ... if it pulls back to...
Call me Crazy, w/ the Euro depressed and expectations for another brexit, i'll add this on a longer term basis.
Here's a weekly look at where GBP/JPY has reversed in the past. I like this level. A stop should be used (If it moves past 145, the trade is all wrong). G/J can move quick in either direction. Keep position size small. On a more fundamental note: What is with these two countries...competitive devaluation?
Cheers & Happy Thanksgiving!
Seems like something to watch... optimism around higher rates and repeal of Dodd Frank has regional banks outperforming a ton. Shorting some of the highflying regional banks vs. the big boys might be in order. Here is showing ETF vs. ETF, however a basket of the highest flying names vs. going long XLF and/or KRE might make for a better trade.
