The Defense and Civil Systems segment develops, manufactures, and distributes mechatronic and sensor products for the civil and military. Its divisions include Light and Optics, Light and Production, and Light and Safety. The firm offer welding systems, material handling, fastening, and electrical power supply solutions. The company was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Jena, Germany.
