The fund may also invest in high quality debt securities with a term to maturity of one year or less including treasury bills and promissory notes issued by the Canadian government. Besides the allocation and maturity of the securities, the decision to pay dividends is also at the discretion of the manager. The fund is designed for investors who are seeking modest capital growth from a portfolio delivering efficient exposure to the potential of Canadian high interest deposit accounts.
