Famous Brands Ltd. engages in the management of a chain of restaurants and franchising. The firm manufactures and supplies its franchisees, the retail trade, and hospitality industry with a range of meat, sauces, bakery, ice cream, fruit juice, and mineral water products. It operates through the following business divisions: Brands, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Retail. The Brands division consists of a portfolio of franchised and company-owned brands. The Manufacturing division refers to the licensed products for consumption by both the franchise network and selected food service and retail customers. The Logistics division provides route-to-market, delivering to the firm's franchise network a basket of products required to cater for brand-specific menus. The Retail segment focuses on the sale of condiments, frozen meat products, coffee, frozen chips and other value-added products.The company was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Midrand, South Africa.
