Albioma SA, (formerly known as Sechilienne Sidec Societe Industrielle pour le Developpement de l'Energie et de La Cogeneration S.A.), is a France-based company that specializes in the design, construction and operation of low- and medium-power electrical cogeneration plants. It produces electricity by utilizing renewable energy resources. The Company is principally engaged in the production of energy from coal power plants and combined bagasse and coal power plants located in the French overseas departments, as well as fuel oil thermal power plant and gas-powered plants. The Company also operates four wind farms in France and is active in the solar energy sector through subsidiaries, Societe de Conversion d’Energie SAS and Plexus-Sol SAS, among others. The Company operates via its subsidiaries in the French overseas departments in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean Regions, as well as in mainland France, Italy and Spain. In April 2014, it acquired Rio Pardo Termoeletrica.
