Rain Industries Ltd. engages in the production of calcined petroleum coke and coal tar pitch . It operates through the following segments: Carbon, Advanced Materials, and Cement. The Carbon segment converts the by-products of oil refining into carbon based products. The Advanced Materials segment pertains to the production of raw materials designed for cleaner, lighter, and environment-friendly applications in specialty chemicals, coatings, construction, and petroleum. The Cement segment consists of cement plants that are self-sufficient in limestone in South India. The company was founded on March 15, 1974 and is headquartered in Hyderabad, India.
