It operates through the Health and Real Estate Development segments. The Health segment is the production and sale of human health and veterinary medicine. The Real Estate Development segment is the sale and lease of properties and lands. The company was founded by Mehmet Nejat Eczacibasi, Melih Eczacibasi, Haluk Eczacibasi, Kemal Eczacibasi, and M. Sakir Eczacibas on October 24, 1951 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.
