What is Financial Data?

Financial data is what investors use to analyze the economic and financial health of a company. It’s how they decide if a stock is overvalued or undervalued. This kind of work is generally called fundamental analysis.

Financial data is derived from a company’s income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Investors use this data to compare companies, create ratios (Price to earnings, Debt to equity, etc), and make informed decisions about a specific investment.

Please note that our data may differ from data shown on other sources. More details can be read here.

What financial data is available on the TradingView platform?

To see all available financial data, press the Indicators button on the top panel of your chart and select Financials tab in opened window:

To get started, select the section you’re interested in on the right side of the window. You can select Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow or Statistics. Here’s an explanation of each section to help guide you to the right place:

Income Statement — Discover information on a company's income, costs, profits, and losses over a period of time. The income statement section is where you learn more about a company’s profitability.

Balance Sheet — Dive into a company's assets, liabilities, and shareholder equity. The balance sheet section is how you evaluate a company’s capital structure.

Cash Flow — Analyze the cash coming in and going out of a company at a specific point in time. Research a company’s free cash flow and its cash from specific activities.

Statistics — Compare, contrast, and study the valuation of a specific company using financial ratios. Examine ratios like price-to-earnings, price-to-sales, and price-to-book.

Financial data can be used over different periods of time including fiscal year (Annual), quarter (Quarterly) or trailing twelve months (TTM). Some companies do not have quarterly data due to the specifics of reporting in different countries or if the company is new has not had an official quarterly or annual report.
