Indices Europe

The stock indices of Europe measure the various national and regional equity markets. Well-known indices from this continent are the FTSE 100 (UK), the Euro Stoxx (Europe) and the DAX 30 (Germany). The FTSE 100 is a share index of the 100 companies listed on the London Stock Exchange with the highest market capitalization, including many international companies. It represents about 80% of the exchange`s value and is by far the most widely used UK stock market indicator.

As the FTSE 100 includes international companies, it's not an optimal gauge of the domestic economy. The Euro Stoxx 50 is a stock index of 50 of the largest and most liquid Eurozone stocks. The stock index futures for Euro Stoxx 50 are among the most liquid in the world. DAX 30 is a stock market index of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange that contains the 30 largest German companies. One of our popular chats is the DAX 30 room where traders talk in real-time about where this index is going.
