This fund closed on October 16, 2020. DZK provides daily 3x exposure to MSCI's popular EAFE index, which captures developed-market equities outside of the US and Canada. This is the bullish version of sister-fund DPK, which provides 3x inverse exposure, and a competitor to EFO, which provides 2x exposure to the same index. Simple long exposure can be had through iShares' EFA and IEFA. The fund achieves leverage primarily through the use of swap agreements, which carry slight counterparty risk. Like all levered funds, DZK tends to underperform its target multiple in volatile markets if held for longer than its daily reset period, and is only suitable for short-term trading positions. Given that, its high fee takes a back seat to trading costs for most investors. The fund is a mixed bag on this front: liquidity is merely adequate at most times.
